Kuala Lumpur, 14 January 2025 – This Chinese New Year, 1 Mont Kiara invites you to join in the vibrant celebrations of the Year of the Snake. From 11 January to 9 February 2025, the mall will be abuzz with a dazzling array of family-friendly activities, performances, and workshops designed to spread joy and prosperity.
As you step into the mall, you’ll be greeted by stunning decorations that set the tone for the festive season. The entrance features vibrant red panels adorned with intricate snake and golden dragon motifs, alongside traditional Chinese lattice patterns and colourful floral arrangements in shades of pink, purple, and red. The mall’s “Golden Prosperity 2025” theme blends timeless Chinese cultural elements with modern aesthetics, creating an atmosphere that is both warm and inviting.
Inside, the centrepiece of the celebration is a vibrant red circular archway, symbolising prosperity and unity. This picturesque backdrop, complete with a serene cherry blossom mural and a wooden bench for photo opportunities, is surrounded by green-tiled traditional structures, radiant red lanterns, and lush floral displays. The combination of tradition and elegance provides the perfect setting for creating cherished memories with family and friends.
Adding to the festive spirit, the main concourse is adorned with vibrant Chinese New Year bazaars, offering an array of traditional delicacies, snacks, and seasonal goodies. Shoppers can also browse a variety of stalls selling festive apparel, home decorations, and unique gifts to usher in the Lunar New Year. The lively atmosphere of the bazaar makes it a one-stop destination for all your Chinese New Year preparations.
Exciting Festivities and Performances
Throughout this festive season, shoppers can enjoy a variety of spectacular performances, including the iconic Acrobatic Lion Dance and Oriental-Themed Comedy Show, as well as hands-on workshops such as Pineapple Tart Baking, DIY Paper Lantern Making, and the Swirling Snakes Arts & Crafts Workshop. Last Saturday afternoon, the mall came alive with a breathtaking acrobatic lion dance performance that captivated onlookers, many of whom approached the lion head for good fortune and blessings.
